Caprese salad with tomato and mozzarella cheese

I made a delicious caprese salad with tomato and mozzarella cheese.

Cut the tomato into bite-sized pieces and mix together with the mozzarella, vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper. Basil is of course an essential part, but unfortunately it’s not always available in Japan.

When you can’t find basil, shiso leaves (Japanese herb) can give the dish a tasty Japanese twist.

With recipes from all over the world freely available on the Internet, I can’t wait to find more ingredients and cook up more dishes!

 

I used the petty knife again for this dish. I use smaller knives daily whenever I make side dishes or desserts.
